Sheena Archambault, Web Developer and Programmer - Resume
I am a hard-working, quality-minded developer who constructs insightful solutions for everyday problems. I pay strict attention to detail. Like most programmers, my mental stimulation is driven by logical challenges. But unlike most, I possess unusually perceptive communication skills. I'm very good at extracting from end- users what they specifically want and need, even when they only have a general idea. And more importantly, I truly care about meeting needs and exceeding expectations.

Experience
Freelance Web Programmer
Since 2006 I’ve been working independently on a contract basis, doing general web design, ecommerce development, and maintaining content management systems. I’ve worked extensively with HTML, Javascript, PHP, MySQL and CSS. Here are a few links to some of the sites I have worked on. Some are completed, and some are still in progress. Also, where noted, the work was contracted to me through another company.
www.sportsplace127.com
I started with an OSCommerce template and customized this site to the client's specifications, adding bulk discount purchasing, a referral system and several other custom options. I also expanded the standard OSCommerce shipping scheme, populated the products list and configured the payment gateway. I began work on this project through a company called Ciphertek, and continue to maintain and upgrade the site.
CircleBackMusic.com
While the site was not originally designed by us, a lot of the graphical content was. We designed a membership module for Zen Cart, and coded this into the existing framework to allow for members-only music downloads. I also added a 'Press Members Only' area.
Marriages.net
This site was redesigned with a Joomla back end. The clients wanted more control over their own site, so we set them up with Joomla and trained them on how to administer the site. The Zen Cart store is contained in a wrapper within Joomla. We also helped the clients transfer their active site to the new design. This was a time sensitive project, that went off without a hitch!
IDCSERVCO.com
Original New Site Development using Joomla Content Management. The client picked out a Rockettheme template and I customized it to their specifications.
Powerof7Diet.com
This dieting website features communication capabilities such as chat, private messaging, user profiles and an awards system for weight loss progress. Built using a Joomla content management system. Also designed a custom add-on Diet Center with food database, that allows for members to journal food intake and weight loss and share experiences with others.
DieselDogg.com
We built this site from the ground up, incorporating a Miva Cart shopping system within the informational site framework. Job done for BGDesign.
www.designsbyjoy.biz
This was a more simple OSCommerce project because the client did not need as much special customization. I configured the standard options and customized the template layout.
www.atvgalaxy.com/shopgalaxy
This project is currently awaiting client specifications. It is a Zen Cart online store. Work done for Rocketpig Studios.
I have been working with BGDesign for over a year. Here are some of the websites I've designed or worked on. Some were new sites primarily developed by me, but most were modification and customization projects for existing sites.
June, 2005 – Dec., 2006 E.W.James and Sons Union City, TN
Software Technician
At E.W.James I was involved in a myriad of projects and endeavors. I gained professional experience with PHP, HTML, Visual Basic 6.0, Javascript, SQL (MySQL and Oracle), Crystal Reports, MS Office and the IBM ACE V3 POS system. Below I have summarized three of the more prominent roles I filled at E.W.James during my employment there.
Project Engineer
I produced a functional, web-based application known as 'Revolve'. This application handles deposits, reports sales information and creates the journal entries needed by the Accounting department for all deposit related items. Revolve consists of 7000+ lines of PHP, HTML and SQL code, hosted on an Apache web server and driven by a relational MySQL database.
- Determined program requirements by conducting rigorous conferences with the Accounting staff and other company officers
- Defined and documented functional specifications
- Designed a highly normalized 34-table MySQL database to serve as the data warehouse for the application
- Developed a method of data collection, and used this algorithm to populate the back-end database for the application
- Coded the entire application myself
- Trained test subjects in the use of the new technology
- Authored a User Guide and an Administrator Guide to accompany the software
Crystal Reports Administrator
Defined user requirements for reports and designed appropriate solutions
- Created new Crystal reports, improved existing reports, and helped users learn to use them
- Designed custom database views and SQL queries for the Oracle database, providing for more rapid reporting
- Administered the Crystal Enterprise report server, managing report schedules, and insuring the regular availability of reports throughout the company network
Excel Visual Basic Developer
- Created VB 6.0 macros for existing Excel applications, normalizing their design by replacing repetitive spreadsheet logic with code
- Maintained and updated Visual Basic macros
- Learned how to use Excel applications developed by former employees, then taught the accounting staff the same
